MY STORY (i’m my best client)
I had to break down to break through...
You’d never know I was in my forties and a former meth addict by looking at me, but that’s the beauty of holistic wellness; it allows healing at the cellular level.
For decades, I felt directionless and deeply depressed, perpetually swinging between the highest highs and the lowest lows. I used sex, codependent and violent relationships, drugs, alcohol, eating, not eating, shopping, work, and even spirituality as ways to escape the dark, vast void I carried within myself. I survived multiple suicide attempts, and nearly all of my relationships were strained or nonexistent.
There’s a saying that no man is an island, yet that is exactly how I felt—isolated, barren, and emotionally disconnected, surrounded by waters I didn’t know how to navigate. Holistic wellness changed that.
I was always a deeply perceptive and sensitive child. Like many people who struggle with addiction and emotional overwhelm, I grew up in a traumatic environment shaped by oppressive orthodox religion. I first turned to addictive behaviors as a way to avoid conflict and abuse within my family home.
I graduated high school at sixteen and left home shortly after. My decision to leave resulted in family and friends shunning and cutting me off—a reality that still exists nearly thirty years later. Having been heavily sheltered from the outside world, I entered adulthood naive, disconnected from myself, and unaware of the depth of my suffering.
Drugs, alcohol, and sex became ways to numb pain and create connection where I felt none. At the same time, I became a high achiever professionally, building a successful career in film and television. I moved rapidly from stylist to set decorator to production designer, gaining financial success while working eighteen-hour days. But beneath that success, my mental and physical health were deteriorating. I was drinking or using drugs whenever I wasn’t working. I had no spiritual foundation, no understanding of practical self-care, and no real connection to myself.
Eventually, everything caught up with me in the form of a massive nervous breakdown.
I made changes, so can you.
Shortly after my nervous breakdown and a subsequent failed suicide attempt, I skeptically visited an intuitive healer in Los Angeles. Given my orthodox Christian upbringing, I was deeply suspicious of holistic healing, but I had reached a point where I was willing to try anything that might offer relief, clarity, or a reason to keep living. Deep down, I felt there had to be a greater purpose for my life than the pain I was experiencing, and I was desperate to find it.
During my first session with the healer, I felt truly seen and validated for the first time ever. In that moment, I realized there was a spiritual and holistic dimension missing from my life—one I could no longer ignore.
What followed was a lifelong dedication to both esoteric study and practical spirituality. My healing journey began with sobriety from drugs and alcohol. From there, I spent years working with holistic coaches, renowned acupuncturists, intuitives, and practitioners from a wide range of healing disciplines in support of my own recovery and transformation. Eventually, I pursued certifications in nutrition, holistic wellness, and Reiki because I knew I wanted to share the tools that had helped me rebuild my life.
Over the years, I have worked with healers and teachers across the world in modalities including energy work, astrology, Ayurveda, acupuncture, nutrition, theta healing, herbalism, past life regression, hypnosis, sound healing, breathwork, traditional talk therapy, yoga, tarot, massage, craniosacral therapy, and shamanic and psychic practices.
Through my own healing, I came to understand that true transformation is rarely the result of a single modality. What I practice today is an integrative approach shaped by lived experience, deep study, and years of personal healing work. I believe the healer must first heal themselves and, through that process, become a guide for others. Everything I offer comes from direct experience—from having lived through profound suffering and slowly rebuilding a life rooted in purpose, clarity, and fulfillment.
My intention as a practitioner is to help you reconnect to your own inner wisdom, clarity, and capacity to heal. I help my clients to feel seen, supported, and unconditionally held in our work together while also building trust in themselves and their own intuition. As a coach, I want to help you become empowered, not dependent.
Investing in your healing can feel confronting. It asks for time, energy, honesty, and courage. But if you are anything like me, you eventually realize that your health, peace, and connection to yourself are the most valuable investments you will ever make.
