SAMPLE ENERGY REPORT

Something new has not quite manifested yet but is building in fullness, and it certainly can feel frustrating. We’ve grown, but our experience doesn’t reflect the new truths yet. We can be replaying old stories in our minds about how it might not work out or may end up in disappointment. We could feel rejected by how slow things are materializing or by having to review and relearn around patterns we think we should be done with by now. Above all, we are having to look at our boundaries with life, relationships, and habits and take stock of where we may be receiving less than what we deserve or where we are leaking energy. This week our Mars energy shifts, and when Mercury in Pisces finally shifts mid-month, the lessons of the past become the action of the present. The first few days of this week require us to actively parent ourselves, be encouraging, and be realistic but remain hopeful. Give yourself the discipline necessary to rise above current difficulties while holding space for all your feelings.

WEEKLY RITUAL: Daily Yoga—Puppy Pose

Uttana Shishosana is a gentle heart-opening posture and a great daily ritual for nurturing connection to your receptive self, considering what’s happening in your heart energy and tuning into the inner mother or the part of you that offers unconditional care, patience, and emotional safety. As you extend your arms forward and rest your forehead or chin toward the ground, the subtle surrender in the pose encourages vulnerability while also creating a sense of being held and supported. Breathing steadily here, you can imagine each inhale expanding compassion through the heart and each exhale releasing tension or self-criticism and allowing a dialogue to emerge between your body and your inner nurturer. This is a soft and loving addition to our current flow!

MON, APR 6: Venus conjunct Ceres at 9° Taurus

I don’t normally talk about dwarf planets/asteroids, but conjunct Venus, Ceres is asking for our attention this week. Ceres is the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, and it was actually the first asteroid ever discovered in 1801. Later, scientists reclassified it as a dwarf planet (like Pluto) because of its size and shape. In astrology, Ceres carries major psychological and emotional weight. It’s named after the Roman goddess of agriculture whose myth centers on the loss and return of her daughter Persephone. Because of this, Ceres symbolizes nourishment, caregiving, attachment, separation, grief, and renewal. It’s motherly energy, but not in a soft sense. This is the fierce, instinctual drive to feed, protect, and sustain life, as well as the devastation that comes from loss. At its core, Ceres answers questions like

  • How do I give and receive nourishment (emotionally, physically, spiritually)?

  • What do I need to feel safe, fed, and cared for?

  • How do I respond to loss, abandonment, or cycles of closeness and distance?

  • Where do I overgive or struggle to accept care?

What makes Ceres especially powerful in transits—like today's Venus conjunction—is that it tends to activate very old, often pre-verbal emotional patterns. Memory in the body and attachment dynamics formed early in life can be activated today. That’s why its cellular influence can feel raw and hard to articulate as you come face-to-face with what truly nourishes you and what absolutely does not. Venus represents love, attraction, pleasure, beauty, and the way you relate and receive. During this conjunction in Taurus, there is a heightened emphasis on physical affection, stability, food, money, touch, and the longing for a steady ground.

The Inside Degrees symbol for this degree is "a talkative woman with tape over her mouth." A voice that wants to express, to connect, to articulate desire and need, yet something prevents it. This reflects the shadow side of the Venus–Ceres conjunction: self-denial, overgiving, or an inability to truly receive what one needs. You may find yourself enacting patterns where you nurture others but silence your own hunger, or where you pursue pleasure and connection yet feel an underlying emptiness that cannot be filled externally. There is a call inward here where the real work is not in speaking more or doing more, but in confronting the internal void you’ve been trying to bypass. Today you may experience a stripping away of false nourishment and performative love. You may expose where you are stuck in cycles of deprivation, emotional suppression, or misplaced devotion. Ultimately, this is a deeply transformative moment, one that asks you to stop trying to talk about what you need and start giving it to yourself.

WED, APR 8: Mars in Pisces sextile Uranus in Taurus (Mars in Pisces anaretic degree)

Mars—action, energy, and our masculine force—makes contact with Uranus, both at anaretic degrees, so the end of a chapter. Today brings movement to the energy of Monday; we will want to do something about the feelings that have been manifesting, and today is the day to do it. Cut cords with what is unhealthy; release attachments that are draining. Say NO. You’ll find people quitting relationships, jobs, living situations, and any number of bad habits over the next few days because enough is enough. Are we going to live trapped in the past, or are we going to move forward? Relinquishing what is unhealthy for you personally will be a whole lot better for your psyche, and holding on to what you know is draining can bring damaging results now.

THURS, APR 9: Mars enters Aries

Mars is in its domicile here, meaning it’s working as efficiently as it ever can. The lights are turning green, and we feel the pulse to do, fix, and drive. When Mars is in Aries, its energy is in its purest and most potent form. We are apt to act in a direct, fiery, and unapologetically driven way, which offers us the benefits of courage, initiative, and the instinct to act without overthinking. This placement fuels our independence and a pioneering spirit. This is what we’ve needed to take bold steps, set clear boundaries, and pursue desires. Vitality, passion, and the willingness to start fresh without being weighed down by the past are all qualities of this transit.

However, the shadow side of Mars in Aries can emerge just as strongly, showing up as impulsiveness, impatience, and a tendency toward conflict or self-centered action. Without awareness, this energy leads to burnout, reactive anger, and steamrolling, where we aren’t considering consequences or others’ needs. We need to balance instinct with intention now, remembering our discernment and learning how to harness this fierce inner fire not just to charge ahead but to act with conscious courage. Ask yourself, is it aligned? Is it purposeful? Have I considered the end result of my action?

With Love, Rebecca
