Revelation, integration, maturation.

December opens with a restless brilliance in the collective field. All year, there has been a sense of sifting through stories that no longer reflect who we are becoming, while we are simultaneously being asked to open to, and trust in, possibilities we cannot yet see. This month guides us from mental unraveling into spiritual clarity and ultimately toward sober, embodied commitment. These transits highlight the threshold space we are inhabiting: an ending, a beginning, and the uncomfortable but fertile terrain in between.
The Full Moon in Gemini on December 4 sets the tone. Opposite Venus, conjunct Uranus, and trine Pluto, this lunation acts as a lightning strike through the mind. Gemini reveals what has been scattered and compartmentalized, bringing the fragments of truth into a cohesive picture. The Uranian influence delivers unexpected insights and revelations, particularly around relationships and values, and Pluto ensures that anything rising to the surface has evolutionary importance. This is a truth-telling moon. Mental clarity arrives as a disruption that liberates. The heart is involved too, revealing where we’ve been negotiating our authenticity to our detriment. The medicine here is honest self-expression and a releasing of the attachment to outcomes. Let the chips fall where they may.
On December 10, there is a transit I couldn’t be more excited for, as it means we are nearly done with the particular lessons of this generational shift! Neptune stations direct in the final moments of Pisces, an anaretic turning point that thins the veil. When a planet stations at the 29th degree, it asks us to complete karmic stories. Neptune’s long journey through Pisces is in its FINAL, final act, and this stationing intensifies themes of release, forgiveness, and spiritual discernment. On the same day, Mercury in the last degrees of Scorpio opposes retrograde Uranus in Taurus. This is a volatile mental climate, stirring revelations, psychic downloads, or confrontations with truths long avoided. The mind is asked to surrender—to admit what it cannot control and to allow deeper intelligence to guide the way.
The very next day brings Mercury trining Neptune, both at release degrees, before Mercury leaves Scorpio and moves into Sagittarius. This is a moment of psychic ripening. Messages come through dreams, synchronicities, or subtle energetic currents. Situations that broke apart during November's Mercury retrograde feel freeing now. The trine softens the edges of the previous day’s shocks, helping us integrate what has been revealed. As Mercury shifts into Sagittarius, our perspective widens. What felt like a crisis may now feel like clarity. The narrative expands, and we can see the greater pattern.
On December 15, Mars enters Capricorn, shifting the collective will toward discipline, structure, and long-term commitment. Energy and motivation are increasing, and we are finally getting to work, something that felt absent with Saturn retrograding over the last few months. The fiery impulsiveness of Mars gains maturity here, channeling energy into strategy and endurance. This marks the beginning of an extended period of taking responsibility for our desires and aligning action with integrity. Mars in Capricorn is about mastery. It strengthens our ability to maintain focus and to move steadily toward what matters.
The New Moon in Sagittarius on December 20 carries a tone of sober optimism. Although Sagittarius usually brings expansiveness, the Moon’s conjunction with Mars in Capricorn grounds this new beginning in accountability. When setting intentions at this time, the vision is important, but the commitment to embodying it is what matters now. This New Moon encourages us to explore where belief becomes practice.
On December 22, the Sun enters Capricorn, marking the solstice gateway and ushering us into a season of responsibility and consolidation. Capricorn energy invites us to return to our long-term intentions and to evaluate whether they can truly support the person we are becoming. This is not a cold or austere passage, though it may feel serious; it is a sacred re-evaluation of what is essential. The solstice offers a moment of spiritual stillness, a turning point where the inner light is rekindled after a period of deep introspection.
Two days later, on December 24th, Venus in Sagittarius squares Neptune in Pisces before Venus enters Capricorn. This is a delicate passage for matters of the heart. The square to Neptune may blur boundaries, evoke longing, or bring moments of disillusionment that ultimately reveal where we’ve been idealizing rather than perceiving clearly. As Venus shifts into Capricorn, the energy stabilizes. There is a desire for reliability, maturity, and emotional realism. Connection becomes a choice rather than an escape.
The month concludes with the asteroid Juno entering Capricorn on December 29, underscoring the themes of commitment and responsibility necessary now. As I always say, Capricorn builds the spiritual into reality. Juno’s placement here invites us to redefine what partnership means. Agreements, boundaries, and shared goals come into focus. Having similar practical goals is great, but is it enough? Whether deepening a bond or recognizing where alignment is absent, this transit emphasizes the sacredness of integrity in relating.
December is a month of profound reorientation. The illusions dissolve, the truths surface, and the path ahead becomes clearer as we attune to what is essential. This is the lineage of inner work: revelation, purification, and ultimately, renewal. If you can allow the unraveling and meet it with presence, the month will leave you wiser, steadier, and more aligned with your soul’s trajectory moving into the new year.
