Ch-ch-ch-changes!
By Rebecca Conran CHHC
July has some major lightning striking, so expect to be surprised. The landscape of your life may be changed in an instant, leaving you standing in a completely different relationship with yourself.
The background energy of this month is dominated by Uranus and Jupiter. Uranus, the great awakener, is currently in Gemini, and an accelerated collective evolution is on the rise. Jupiter, now in Leo, is expanding themes of creative expression, confidence, visibility, and heart-centered leadership. Together, these planets create a powerful energetic signature. Many of us will find ourselves stepping onto an entirely new timeline. The question is not whether change is happening; it absolutely is. The question is whether we are willing to consciously participate in it.
Cancer season is a time to remember what matters most. The first half of the month reconnects us with our emotional body, our roots, and our deepest need for belonging. This summer carries a different atmosphere than many expected. Mercury is retrograde, and we find ourselves revisiting old emotional narratives, unfinished conversations, and unconscious patterns. This is not quite the buoyant, carefree harvest we imagined at the Summer Solstice.
Conversations circle back for conflict, repair, or clarification. We are being asked to say what has been weighing us down emotionally rather than carrying it alone. Memories emerge, family dynamics reveal themselves, and old wounds ask for acknowledgement. The invitation is to become curious about your emotions rather than trying to bypass them. What is your inner world trying to communicate? What needs your attention before you can move forward?
July 4: Mars Conjunct Uranus in Gemini: This transit ranks high on the frazzle-dazzle meter. Mars and Uranus together create breakthrough energy—or shit-breaking energy! There can be sudden insights, unexpected news, rapid decisions, surprising disruptions, and a strong desire to break free from situations that feel restrictive or stagnant.
Gemini activates communication, learning, media, technology, transportation, and the stories we tell ourselves. With Mercury retrograde already in play, this combination does not exactly inspire confidence in our tech-centric society. Make sure to back up important files, double-check travel plans, and exercise extra patience on the roads. Things may take longer than expected, and frustration can build quickly if we try to force outcomes.
Pay close attention to ideas that arrive seemingly out of nowhere. A conversation, book, message, article, or spontaneous realization could completely alter your perspective. Information arrives quickly under this transit, but not every revelation demands immediate action. The nervous system may feel highly stimulated, making grounding practices especially important. Slow down, stay present, and remember that your awakening deserves your attention.
July 7: Neptune Stations Retrograde in Aries: Neptune's retrograde begins a deeper review of our spiritual courage, identity, and sense of purpose. Aries teaches us about authentic selfhood, while Neptune dissolves illusions. Together, they ask a profound question: Who are you beneath the roles, expectations, and identities you've inherited?
Anywhere we have unconsciously adopted versions of ourselves that no longer fit will be up for review. Over the coming months, a collective process of spiritual clarification begins. Many people will discover that what they thought they wanted is not what their soul truly desires. Dreams that once motivated us may begin to lose their emotional charge, and more authentic desires start to emerge. This can feel disorienting at first, but it is ultimately a recalibration. Neptune retrograde strips away fantasy so that something more honest can take its place.
July 8: Venus Enters Virgo: This transit brings discernment into the relational atmosphere. Love is not just poetry; love is also practical. Venus in Virgo reminds us that devotion often reveals itself through the small, everyday gestures that sustain connection over time. As a natal Venus in Virgo myself, I know this energy well. I often express love through helping, organizing, washing dishes, folding laundry, or taking care of the details that make life easier for the people I care about.
Spirituality is not separate from daily life. Visit almost any ashram and you'll discover that seva, or selfless service, is often made up of ordinary tasks and responsibilities. Yet these simple acts become sacred through intention. Sacredness exists in our morning routines, our commitments to our health, the meals we prepare, and the ways we show up for one another when nobody is watching.
Relationships may undergo a process of refinement during this transit. The less conscious expression of Venus in Virgo can feel overly critical, perfectionistic, or focused on flaws. The higher expression invites thoughtful feedback, practical support, and genuine care. This is a beautiful time to ask not only how much you love someone but also how effectively that love is being expressed.
July 14: New Moon in Cancer: This is a deeply introspective New Moon, closely connected to Mercury retrograde, so create space for yourself around it if possible. You may find yourself in conversation with old memories, unresolved emotions, and aspects of your past that still influence your present. Childhood conditioning may feel especially visible.
Cancer governs emotional safety, belonging, nurturing, and protection. Some may discover that they do not feel emotionally safe enough to fully show up for themselves. This New Moon asks us to examine those places with compassion rather than judgment. There may be moments where stronger boundaries are needed, and there may be moments where old defenses are ready to soften. The wisdom lies in knowing the difference.
Can you trust yourself enough to be vulnerable because you know that you will not abandon yourself? Can you remain open without sacrificing your boundaries? The seeds planted beneath this New Moon are connected to emotional maturity, self-trust, and inner belonging. The work done now has a long-lasting impact.
July 15–21: Uranus, Jupiter, and Pluto Take Center Stage":
July 15: Uranus Sextile Neptune
July 18: Uranus Trine Pluto
July 20: Jupiter Opposite Pluto
July 21: Jupiter Sextile Uranus
Uranus brings innovation and liberation. Neptune contributes spiritual vision and imagination. Pluto delivers transformation at the deepest levels. Together, they create an atmosphere where profound shifts in consciousness become possible.
Many people may experience breakthroughs in understanding their purpose, gifts, future direction, or place within the larger collective story. Trust what is emerging, especially if it does not yet make logical sense. Some of the most important changes this month may begin as a feeling before they become a plan.
Jupiter magnifies whatever it touches. Ambition, desire, power dynamics, opportunities, fears, aspirations, and confidence may all feel amplified. Jupiter in Leo wants growth through authentic self-expression, creativity, courage, and visibility. The opposition to Pluto may expose areas where ego and soul have been telling different stories. We may be confronted with places where external success has been mistaken for genuine fulfillment. The goal is not to reject ambition but to align it with what genuinely matters.
This is no time to shrink back. This is the time to go big. The Jupiter-Uranus sextile is subtle, but it may be one of the most exciting opportunities of the year for conscious growth and expansion. Sudden blessings, unexpected openings, fortunate encounters, surprising solutions, and synchronistic opportunities can emerge seemingly out of nowhere.
Jupiter and Uranus together often create experiences that feel destined, liberating, and strangely magical. I have Jupiter conjunct Uranus in my natal chart, and my life has certainly been marked by moments of extraordinary luck and opportunity arriving when I least expected them. Stay open. Stay curious. Say yes to invitations that genuinely excite you.
July 22: Sun Enters Leo: Welcome to drama season. After weeks of emotional processing and inner reflection, Leo season reminds us that life is meant to be enjoyed, celebrated, and expressed.
Creativity becomes medicine, especially with Jupiter moving through Leo. Many people spend years developing gifts in private, waiting for permission, perfection, or certainty before sharing them. Leo teaches us that expression itself is part of the journey. We are not meant to hide our gifts until they are flawless. We are meant to develop them through participation.
Leo season asks us to be seen—not for validation or approval, but because authentic self-expression contributes something valuable to the collective field. Whether through art, leadership, writing, performance, teaching, entrepreneurship, or simply allowing yourself to take up space more confidently, Leo reminds us that our light was never meant to remain hidden.
July 23–29: Mercury Direct, Saturn Retrograde, Full Moon in Aquarius: Momentum gradually begins to return as Mercury stations direct. Conversations move forward, decisions become clearer, and plans regain traction. The fog does not disappear overnight, but the path ahead becomes easier to navigate.
On July 26, Saturn stations retrograde in Aries, marking the beginning of a yearly review of personal responsibility, leadership, and maturity. Are you building a life that reflects who you are becoming? Are your actions aligned with your values? Where are you ready to take greater ownership of your future? Saturn retrograde supports restructuring and refinement. It asks us to strengthen foundations rather than chase shortcuts.
Then, on July 29, we arrive at the Full Moon in Aquarius alongside a powerful Sun-Jupiter conjunction in Leo. This creates a beautiful synthesis between individuality and collective contribution. Leo asks, "What makes me unique?" Aquarius asks, "How can my uniqueness serve something larger than myself?"
The Full Moon illuminates future possibilities, community connections, collaborations, and visions that extend beyond personal ambition. At the same time, the Sun's conjunction with Jupiter amplifies optimism, confidence, abundance, generosity, and creative potential. There is a reminder here that expansion is not something we need to chase. More often than not, it is something we allow by becoming available to the opportunities already trying to find us.
Final Thoughts ON JULY 2026
July is a month of awakening. Change is not approaching; it is already here. The universe is speaking to each of us through synchronicity, intuition, disruption, redirection, and opportunity. Some of the changes unfolding now may not make sense immediately, but they are creating pathways that did not previously exist.
Uranus is opening new doors. Jupiter is expanding what becomes possible. Cancer season asks us to reconnect with our emotional truth, while Leo season invites us to embody and express it. Trust the invitations that light up your soul. Trust the endings that create space. Trust the version of yourself that is emerging beneath the surface. The future is arriving faster than expected, and July asks us to meet it with an open heart.
