SEPTEMBER 2025 ASTROLOGY REPORT
Sacred discomfort and holy alignment
Digital Art by Rebecca Conran
Dear Reader,
September asks for purification. There is no bypassing the depth of emotional excavation this month invites. This is healing in the rawest sense. Honest, embodied, and often uncomfortable. The re-entry of Saturn retrograde into Pisces on the 1st begins this soul-deep excavation. This is ancestral water. Collective grief. The karma of avoidance. Saturn here seeps into our dreams, our nervous systems, and our art. It's asking us to surrender to the formless, to learn through the unknown. On a global level, we may see more disillusionment with institutions we’ve clung to for a false sense of security. Individually, we’re being asked: where have I numbed instead of felt? Where have I escaped rather than listened?
Mercury’s entry into Virgo on the 2nd is the gift we need to bring some discernment to the fog. Soon after, Mercury squares Uranus; these early days of the month can bring mental static, sudden clarity, or radical rethinking of long-held beliefs. Be gentle here. Unexpected truths may jar the nervous system. What you learn now may feel disruptive—but it's breaking the chains of mental confinement.
The lunar eclipse in Pisces on the 7th, just as Uranus stations retrograde, is perhaps the spiritual peak of the month. This eclipse is not here to coddle. It's here to wash away delusions. Expect dreams, emotional waves, and confusion—don’t try to “understand” it all with your mind. Let it move through you. This moon is a release of the old soul contracts we didn’t even know we were still honoring. It’s a wake for the emotional ghosts we’ve carried far too long.
As Uranus stations retrograde just prior to and the Moon conjuncts Neptune just after the eclipse, we are left in the liminal space—the ache of transition. The world may feel even less stable, less tangible. There may be major news about technology, communication systems, or even neurological health. These are not glitches—they are revelations.
Mid-month, we’re hit with a barrage of energetic intersections: Venus, Mars, Mercury, and Chiron all interacting in ways that challenge how we love, how we assert, and how we heal. Don’t expect your old stories about love and worth to hold up under this kind of scrutiny. These aspects dig into the relational wounds we’ve been trying to pretty up.
By the Solar Eclipse, Virgo New Moon on the 21st, we are bound to be feeling tired. And that’s okay. This is not a month to perform strength—it’s a time to rebuild it from the marrow. The New Moon is our chance to reclaim the small, sacred choices that rebuild trust with ourselves. This is the harvest of discernment. Plant intentions rooted in integrity and practical spirituality.
The final days of the month bring Mars entering Scorpio, Venus square Uranus, and Mars square Pluto — and this is where we’re asked to face the deepest shadows. The power dynamics in relationships, the fear of abandonment, the hunger for control… these rise to the surface now to liberate us. This is the energy of upheaval, yes—but also of awakening.
The high notes this month are piercingly beautiful. Flashes of spiritual clarity. Radical self-awareness. The soft intimacy that blooms when we finally stop running. The low notes? Emotional overwhelm, relational upheaval, and the kind of grief that has no name. But if we can let it all pass through without judgment, we become clear channels. Loving vessels. Sacred instruments of the soul.
To navigate this month with grace: rest when your body says rest. Don’t rush the insights—let them come in divine time. Tend to your nervous system like it’s a garden: soft music, slow walks, nourishing food, and gentleness. And most of all—speak to yourself with the same compassion you would offer a child facing their first storm.
